Our members always look forward to tourist boats visits in Solomon Islands. On 22 February 2018, the cruise ship Ocean Dreams berthed at the international wharf in Honiara. Eleven members displayed their arts and crafts products at the wharf for this visit.
A total of 24 women in the informal sector. The mentoring session was coordinated by Mrs. Lynnette Dawheya of the Ministry of commerce. This was a mile stone mentoring for members of SIWIBA in the informal sector.
The meeting yesterday focused on matters from the previous general meeting, Mere’s Market and Mini Trade Fair update. Guest speaker was representative of the Australian High Commission, Ms. Louise Scot who spoke on the importance of funding support to SIWIBA and way forward for the association.
The Solomon Islands Women in Business Association (SIWIBA) successfully held their combined SIWIBA Mere’s Market & Mini Trade Fair jointly supported by the Australian High Commission through its funding support to Mere’s Market and SIWIBA.
SIWIBA coordinator Ms. Nina Tuhaika graduate with an APTC certificate after completing 3 months Leadership and Management course. Joining other staff and executives from organization the ceremony took place at Maranatha on the 2ndSeptember.
